The petitioner had participated in the recruitment process for appointment of Industrial Development Officer, 2019 under the Department of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises and Textiles, Government of West Bengal, conducted by the Public Service Commission.

The petitioner is claiming that he was successful in the written examination and was called on for interview but thereafter there is no communication regarding the fate of his candidature.

The further allegation of the petitioner is that he sought information under the Right to Information Act, 2005 regarding his result in the said selection test but the same has not been replied.

In view of availability of alternative relief of appeal under Section 19 of the said Act of 2005,

the writ petition is not maintainable; W.P.A. 12935 of 2021 is dismissed accordingly without any order as to costs.

This order, however, will not prevent the petitioner to take other recourse in accordance with law to know the fate of his candidature in the said selection process.
