And In the matter of : Sambhu Mondal @ Shambhu Mondal ...... petitioner Mr. Jisan Iqubal Hossain ....for the petitioner Mr. Avishek Sinha, Ms. Paramita Sahu ....for the State Apparently, there exist disputes with regard to an immovable property between the parties.

Petitioner assaulted the victim from behind with an iron crowbar whereupon, the victim suffered grievous hurt. The narration of the incident by the injured speaks of the victim losing consciousness immediately on the assault. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner in the incident, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

This application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. CRM(A) 1662 of 2024 is disposed of.
