1. By this public interest litigation the petitioner seeks for a direction upon the appropriate respondent to dispose of the representation dated 07.11.2022 given by the petitioner. According to the petitioner, disbursement of funds have been made by the Prodhan of the Panchayat for construction of a road which was never constructed. In this regard, the petitioner has furnished certain details and the representation is still pending for consideration before the authorities.

2. Since the writ petition has been disposed of without calling for affidavits, we are not entering into the merits of the allegations made by the petitioner.

3. In the light of the above, we direct the 5th respondent, namely, the Block Development Officer, Mathurapur-II Development Block, P.O.-Bakultala, P.S.-Raidighi, District-South 24-Parganas to consider

the representation dated 07.11.2022 and direct the surprise inspection to be conducted in the area in question and thereafter pass a speaking order on merits and in accordance with law and communicate the same to the writ petitioner.

4. This direction be complied with within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a server copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of.
