The cause title of the writ petition be amended accordingly.

Since the State is represented, service upon the newly added respondent is dispensed with.

Report submitted by the State is taken on record. It appears from the report that reports have been received from all the twenty five blocks and on the basis of such reports a comprehensive consolidated list has been prepared.

Learned counsel for the State submits that The District Level Selection Committee has to be reconstituted after which the meeting of the committee shall be convened.

The process of recruitment is pending since 2011.

In view of the above, this Court directs the District Magistrate, Purba Medinipore, being the 27th respondent herein, to reconstitute the District Level Selection Committee within two weeks from the date of communication of this order. Upon reconstitution of the committee, the consolidated list be forwarded to the Finance Department after approval of the Committee, through the Panchayat and Rural Development Department for necessary approval. Upon receipt of such approval from the Finance Department, the District Level Selection Committee shall initiate recruitment process in terms of the relevant rules and complete the same within eight weeks therefrom.

No fruitful purpose shall be served by keeping the writ petition pending. The same is accordingly disposed of. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.

Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
