The petitioners pray for consideration of their prayer for grant of permission to perform Haj. 2.

It has been submitted that the petitioners were selected for participating in the Haj pilgrimage but thereafter their names were illegally struck off by the State Government. The petitioners made further representation, which is pending consideration. 3.

Without going into the merit of the claim of the petitioners, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Executive Officer of the West Bengal State Haj Committee to take a decision on the representation filed on behalf of the petitioners in accordance with the prevailing rules and guidelines at the earliest but positively within a period of sixty days from the date of communication of this order.

A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioners immediately thereafter.

Learned advocate for the petitioners is directed to forward a copy of the legal representation dated 19th May, 2025 along with all supporting documents to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of the Court.

Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today is kept with the records.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
