Heard the learned Advocates appearing for the parties. Petitioners are in custody for about 501 days. Learned Advocate for the petitioners prays for bail.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Statements of witnesses and contemporaneous document i.e. seizure list show recovery of 51 kgs. of ganja from the possession of the petitioners and co-accused.

In view of the aforesaid incriminating materials on record and statutory restrictions under Section 37 of the N. D. P. S. Act, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioners is rejected.
