Affidavit of service filed in Court is taken on record.

The petitioner claims interest on delayed payment of terminal benefits. The petitioner superannuated from service of the WBTCL on 30th April, 2021. He received his terminal benefits of Rs.34,64,856/- only towards Provident Fund on 06.08.2021.

The petitioner is entitled to interest for the period from 01.05.2021 to 06.08.2021 at the rate of 6 per cent per annum. Let the same be paid to the petitioner by the
WBTCL within a period of one month from date.

In default of payment as directed above, the rate of interest shall stand increased to 9 per cent per annum.

The writ petition is disposed of.
6.
There will be no order as to costs.

All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
