Learned counsel for the State has produced a report in the form of instructions dated 8.11.2022 issued by the Officer-in-Charge, Khejuri Police Station, Purba Medinipur addressed to the learned Government Pleader and the same is taken on record.

It appears from the report that charge sheet being Khejuri Police Station Charge Sheet No.257/16 dated 26.12.2016 has been filed after investigation into Khejuri Police Station Case 217 of 2016 dated 17.08.2016. This Court is of the view that remedy of the petitioner is under Section 173(8) of the Code of Criminal Procedure. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Let a copy of the report be handed over to the learned counsel for the petitioner.
