The petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of Sessions Serial Case no. 203 of 2019 pending before the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Fast Track 1st Court, Berhampore, Murshidabad arising out of Jalangi Police Station Case no. 1233/2015 dated 16th November, 2015. It appears from the report that an application was filed by the accused before the learned trial Court on 22nd December, 2023 which was heard by the learned trial Court on 29th January, 2024. 6th March, 2024 was fixed for order. It is submitted that no order has been passed as yet in connection with the said application.
In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that since the matter is pending for a considerably long period before the learned trial Judge, the learned trial Judge, being the Additional Sessions Judge, Fast Track,
1st Court, Berhampore, Murshidabad is directed to dispose of the application filed by the accused and heard by him in full by a reasoned order and fix a date for consideration of charge within one month from the next date of hearing fixed before him. The learned Judge shall take all necessary steps for ensuring attendance of the accused on the said date. The learned Judge shall dispose of the case being Sessions Serial Case no. 203 of 2019 within two years from the date of consideration of charge without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either party, in accordance with law.
The revisional application being CRR 1955 of 2024 is disposed of.
