The plaintiff in a suit for eviction under the West Bengal Premises Tenancy Act has approached this Court with an application for expeditious hearing alleging that the hearing of eviction suit is being unnecessarily delayed as adjournments have been granted on frivolous grounds. In view of the order sought and proposed to be passed, there is no necessity of issuing any notice upon the opposite parties. However, the petitioner shall be obliged to forward a copy of this application as well as this order upon the opposite party or their learned advocate in the Court below forthwith.

CO 1448 of 2021 is disposed of by requesting the Civil Judge (Junior Division) at Alipore to dispose of the suit as expeditiously as possible after resumption of normal functioning of the learned Court below without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.

There shall be no order as to costs.
