Petitioner has prayed for sanction of family pension being widow daughter due to death of her father on 19th January, 2005. Father was a primary teacher who retired prior to 1981. Mother died on 29.12.2010.

Mr. Vaisya, learned Additional Government Pleader representing the State respondents has placed memo dated 26th June, 2025 issued by the District Inspector of Schools (PE), Purba Medinipur being respondent no.4 and same is taken on record.

It is stated in the memo dated 26th June, 2025 by the respondent no.4 that pension file of the petitioner has been prepared but on certain places in the application seeking pension petitioner is required to put signature and petitioner is also required to submit certain documents.

According to respondent no.4 unless such steps are

taken by the petitioner pension file of the petitioner cannot be transmitted to Director of Pension, Provident Fund and Group Insurance for issuance pension payment order.

Leave is granted to the petitioner to appear before the respondent no.4 by fortnight from date and comply necessary formalities and submit necessary documents.

If petitioner puts signature on application for family pension which is in prescribed format and submits income certificate within the aforesaid time, respondent no.4 shall forward the pension file to the Director of Pension, Provident Fund and Group Insurance being respondent no.3 by fortnight thereafter.

On receipt of pension file, respondent no.3 shall issue pension payment order within a period of four weeks thereafter on compliance of necessary formalities.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

10. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the learned Advocates for the parties on the usual undertakings.
