In the matter of : Antara Khatun & Anr.
..... petitioners Mr. Soupal Chatterjee ....For the petitioners Mr. P. K. Datta, ld. APP Mr. Santanu Deb Roy .....For the State Petitioners seek anticipatory bail.
Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that though the petitioners were not named in the F.I.R., they have been falsely implicated in the charge sheet. Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court and submits the statement recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Considering the gravity of the offences, the involvement of the petitioners as appearing in the statement recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in the incident, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. The application for anticipatory bail being C.R.M. 5419 of 2021 is, thus, rejected.
