ORDER

The present petition has been filed claiming the same to be in public interest regarding shifting of Regional Office of FCI from Burdwan to Durgapur.

The learned Counsel for petitioner submitted that number of representations have been made by the rice millers or the Kishan Union objecting to the shifting of Regional Office of FCI.

We find that the issue sought to be raised by the petitioners cannot be entertained in a petition filed in public interest. It is the matter to be considered by the authorities concerned as to where any office has to be opened or existing offices merged/located for their administrative convenience. The Courts do not generally interfere in their decision and put itself in the arms of the authority to superimpose its own decision as against taken by the competent authority.

The writ petition is accordingly dismissed.
