Learned counsel for the alleged contemnor submits that since the force available at the local police station was not adequate to assist the petitioners, further forces are required, for which an approximate police help cost of Rs.30,000/- is to be deposited.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are being prevented from entering into their own house, for which they are unable to pay such costs at the present moment.

Hence, the alleged contemnor, that is, the ASI of Police and the Officer-in-Charge of Bud Bud Police Station, is directed to provide police assistance for the purpose of the petitioners entering into their own house. Such assistance shall be provided by the police authorities as and when sought by the petitioners.

Upon such assistance being provided and the petitioners getting access to their house, the petitioners shall pay the police help costs of Rs.30,000/- to the said police station.

On the payment being made, the police shall comply with the order of this Court and give assistance to the WBSEDCL personnel on the date appointed, as per notice given by the WBSEDCL, for the purpose of executing the order of this Court.

A report in that regard shall be filed by the alleged contemnor on the next returnable date. It is expected that the petitioners shall deposit their police help costs within May 18, 2023, upon which, the WBSEDCL shall give the connection within a week thereof upon prior notice to the police station as well as the petitioners.

Upon deposit of the police help costs, the petitioners shall intimate about such payment to the WBSEDCL immediately to ensure compliance of the direction of this Court.

The matter shall next be listed on June 7, 2023 at 2 p.m.

The personnel appearance of the alleged contemnor is dispensed with for the present, subject to further orders being passed on the next returnable date.
