1. Affidavit of service filed today be kept on record.

2. Learned counsel for the State seeks adjournment on the ground of lack of instructions.

3. However, in view of the innocuous nature of the prayer made by the writ petitioner, such prayer for adjournment is refused.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr. Subham Dutta, points out that the petitioner had applied for being appointed in the post of temporary Muhammadan Marriage Registrar (MMR) in the police station area of Mollarpur. However, even upon repeated applications, the same was not considered, for which the petitioner had given a representation for the same to be considered.

5. The petitioner seeks merely a consideration of such representation.

6. Accordingly, W.P.A. No. 13424 of 2024 is disposed of by directing the respondent no. 3, that is, the District Registrar, Birbhum to immediately consider the representation of the petitioner, positively within a fortnight from the date of communication of this order to the respondent no. 3, by acting on the server copy of the same and to communicate a reasoned order on such application to the petitioner within a week thereafter.

7. It is made clear that in the event the petitioner is aggrieved by the outcome of such consideration, it will be open to the petitioner to challenge the same in a properly constituted challenge.

8. There will be no order as to costs.

9. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all required formalities.
