The writ petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that the State Bank of India has not allowed the educational loan to the writ petitioner for pursuing a nursing course at the Oxford School of Nursing. Communication was made to the petitioner is annexed at P4 to the writ petition. Counsel for the writ petitioner submits that the said Oxford School of Nursing is covered under the nursing at Serial No. 482 in the list of approved nursing institution by the Indian Nursing Council. It appears from the records of the Indian Nursing Council, as against Serial No. 482, that the approved college in question is the Oxford College of Nursing 6/9. 1st Cross, Begur Main Road, Hongasandra, Bangalore Hongasandra, Bangalore, Dist. Bangalore, Karnataka.

There is clearly a distinction between the Oxford School of Nursing and the institution against the Serial No. 482. No fault can be found in the decision of the bank in this regard.

However, if the writ petitioner is able to demonstrate before the respondent authorities that any of the institution into which she was admitted is approved by the India Nursing Council, the same may be communicated to the bank after taking back the original application materials. If the bank receives such application from the writ petitioner, they may reconsider the matter in accordance with the applicable Rules.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
