Mr. Mujibar Rahman Mr. Chandan Chakraborty ..for the State This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction upon the Howrah Municipal Corporation to provide the death certificate of the petitioner's fatherin-law, Mr. Jay Sankar Dutta, who passed away on August 29, 2022.

Respondent No. 8, the nephew of the deceased, does not dispute that the original death certificate is in his possession. He submits that he has no objection to the issuance of a duplicate death certificate by the Howrah Municipal Corporation.

The Howrah Municipal Corporation has expressed no objection to issuing the duplicate death certificate in favor of the petitioner.

In light of these submissions, there is no need to keep this writ petition pending. The Howrah Municipal Corporation is hereby directed to provide a duplicate death certificate to the petitioner within two weeks from the date of this order.

Accordingly, WPA 13451 of 2024 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
