Ruksana Khatun @ Rupa Khatun And ORS v. The State Of West Bengal

No. 29 CHC Rejected C.R.M.(A) 1683 of 2024 In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Bharatpur Police Station Case No. 359/2023 dated 01.11.2023 under Sections 325/328/307/34 of the Indian Penal Code. And In the matter of : Ruksana Khatun @ Rupa Khatun & ors. ...... petitioners Mr. Jisan Iqubal Hossain ....for the petitioners Mr. Anand Keshri, Mr. Dattatreya Dutta ....for the State Petitioners stand implicated by the victim in an incident of assault, where the victim was also made to consume poison. Injury report of the victim contains the corroboration such claim of consumption of poison.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioners in the incident, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

This application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. CRM(A) 1683 of 2024 is disposed of.
