Mr. Pingal Bhattacharyya ... For the Petitioner Mr. Susovan Sengupta, Mr. Subir Pal .... For the State The petitioner prays for direction upon the respondent authorities to accept his application for fertilizer license and to grant the said license in his favour.

The case of the petitioner is that he went to the Office of the respondent authorities for filing the application but the same was not accepted by the authority.

The learned advocate representing the respondent authority submits, upon instruction, that presently as per direction of the Agricultural Department, Government of West Bengal, there is a provision for single window licensing system and all applications for new license are being accepted online. It has been submitted that the petitioner can apply for obtaining the said license online. It appears from the submission of the respondents

that the hard copy applications or physical applications are not being accepted at present. Application is required to be made online.

The petitioner will be at liberty to apply online for grant of license in his favour. If the petitioner makes such application then the respondent authority shall consider the same in accordance with law.

Writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon completion of usual legal formalities.
