1. Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that initially petitioner was granted bail but for miscommunication warrant of arrest was issued and he was subsequently taken into custody and has been in custody since 21.05.2026. Petitioner is in custody for about one and a half months. The subject matter of the case is related to alleged recovery of 22kgs of ganja.

2. Learned Advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits petitioner has contributed the delay in the present case.

3. I have taken into account the said factum but the charges are yet to be framed. Accordingly I release the petitioner on bail on such terms and conditions as the learned Trial Court deems fit and proper. With an additional conditional that the petitioner if on bail will meet with the Officer-in-Charge/Inspector-in-Charge of Beldanga Police Station once in a week till the same is modified by the learned Trial Court.

4. Accordingly, C.R.M (NDPS) 1250 of 2026 is allowed.

5. Memo of evidence submitted be kept with the record.

6. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the Official website of this Court.

7. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
