Mr. Debabrata Sardar ... for the petitioners Mr. Lalit Mohan Mahata Mr. Rudranil De ... for the State On the basis of the assurance of Mr. Mahata, learned Senior Government Advocate, no useful purpose will be served, in keeping the writ petition pending.

Mr. Mahata assures this Court, upon instructions from Chief Medical Officer of Health, Diamond Harbour Health District dated March 29, 2022, that steps shall be taken with regard to the prayers of the petitioners for appointment, if the records ultimately reveal that each of the petitioners was successful in the selection process.

It is further submitted that the matter is under active consideration and the decision will be taken soon.

This writ petition is thus, disposed of, with a direction upon the respondent authorities to conclude the entire process upon considering whether the petitioners were selected for appointment to different

posts of ASHA in different sub-centers of Laxmikantapur Gram Panchayat, under Mograhat-I Block.

If it is found that the petitioners are the successful candidates, they should be appointed and the appointment letters must be issued to the petitioners within a period of two months. In case, any of the petitioners, is found to be ineligible for appointment, then reasons must be disclosed and communicated to the concerned petitioner/petitioners within the stipulated period.

The entire exercise must be completed within a period of two months from the date of communication of this order.

With the above observations, this writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties are to act on the basis of website copy of this order.
