Sarkar, learned Senior Counsel representing the applicants/respondents prays for extension of interim order.

2. It appears from the order dated October 12, 2023 that an interim order was passed till December 31, 2023 with a request to the learned Single Judge to fix the writ petition itself at the earliest available date and to dispose of the same preferably before December 31, 2023.

3. It has been submitted by Mr. Sarkar that the respondents/applicants have made submissions in part in the writ petition and the next date has been

fixed on January 11, 2024 for hearing of the writ petition.

The leaned advocate for the appellants vehemently opposes the prayer for interim order.

5. Considering the fact that the respondents/applicants have made their submissions in part in the writ petition, the interim order, which was passed on October 12, 2023, shall continue till the end of January, 2024 or until further order, whichever is earlier.

6. This Court hopes and trusts that the writ petition may be disposed of within January 31, 2024.

7. C.A.N. 3 of 2023 is disposed of accordingly without, however, any order as to costs.
