This is an application for anticipatory bail filed in connection with Ghatal Police Station Case No.96 of 2025 dated 24.03.2025 under Sections 85/115(2)/108/351(2)/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

Learned Advocate representing the petitioners submitted that on selfsame issue, the parents of the principal accused have been granted anticipatory bail by an order dated 21.05.2025, passed by this Court. 3.

Learned Advocate representing the State submitted the victim had been a minor who had been compelled to commit suicide at the instance of the petitioners. She placed reliance on the statement of the victim recorded under Section 183 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 wherein the wrongful act of the present petitioners had been mentioned.

Having considered the submissions of the learned Advocates for the parties, I am of the opinion that the materials on record do not justify denial of an order of anticipatory bail in favour of the present petitioners.

Hence, the petitioners being the grandmother and aunt of the principal accused are granted anticipatory bail, whose involvement or overt act had not been specified in the materials on record. 5.

Accordingly, it is directed that in the event of arrest, the petitioners, namely, (1) Jamuna Mondal & (2) Namita Ghorai, be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only) each, with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and also subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 and on further condition that the petitioners shall cooperate with investigation and attend the court on regular basis.
