Petitioners are in custody for over 800 days. It is submitted there is delay in trial. They have been falsely implicated. They pray for bail.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the bail prayer. He submits status report. 21 witnesses have already been examined.

We have considered the materials on record. There are materials implicating the petitioners in the crime. Trial is in progress. 21 witnesses have already been examined. Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners at this stage.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioners is rejected.

We request the trial court to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date within one year from the next date fixed for recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. Parties shall communicate this order to the trial court for due compliance.
