Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail. We have considered materials on record including statement of minor victim aged around seven years. Her statement prima facie discloses involvement of the petitioner in the offence of penetrative sexual assault.

In view of gravity of offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioner therein, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
