The Second Appeal preferred by the petitioner before the Central Public Information Officercum- Assistant Chief Accounts Officer (PA-Admn) is alleged to be kept pending.

Learned advocate representing the aforesaid respondent admits pendency of the appeal. No reason has been specified as to why the appeal has not been disposed of despite the same being filed in December 2024.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed by directing the respondent no. 2 to consider and dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner strictly in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of sixty days from the date of communication of this order.

The fate of appeal shall be made known to the petitioner within the time limit as specified hereinabove.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
