The petitioners pray for implementation of the direction passed in the order dated February 18, 2020 by the Chairman of the North Dum Dum Municipality. None appears on behalf of the North Dum Dum Municipality.

Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today is taken on record.

As it appears that the order was passed by the Municipality way back on February 18, 2020, accordingly, it is the duty of the Municipality to ensure that the order is implemented in accordance with law. In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the North Dum Dum Municipality to take steps for implementation of the order dated February 18, 2020 in accordance with law

provided the said order has not been modified/set aside or varied by a Court of competent jurisdiction. Steps shall be taken by the Municipality at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order. The writ petition stands disposed of.

Notice of upgradation given be retained with the records.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties after completion of all legal formalities.
