This application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is at the instance of the plaintiff/petitioner praying for a direction upon the learned District Judge, Hooghly, to dispose of the Matrimonial Suit No. 362 of 2019 expeditiously. 2.

In view of the order sought and proposed to be passed, there is no necessity to direct issuance of a notice upon the opposite parties.

However, learned Advocate for the petitioner shall be obliged to communicate a copy of this application and this order upon the opposite parties or upon the learned Advocate representing the opposite parties before the learned Trial Judge. 4.

From the order-sheets appended to this application this Court finds that May 16, 2023 was fixed for peremptory hearing of the suit.

Learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that the evidence of the plaintiff witness no.1 has already been completed.

In the light of the submissions made by the learned Advocate for the petitioner, CO/1743/2024 is disposed of by requesting the learned District Judge, Hooghly, to make an endeavour to see that the Matrimonial Suit No. 362 of 2019 is disposed of as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties subject to condition that the petitioner is not in default of payment of any alimony or maintenance.
