1. Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

2. By presenting this writ petition, petitioner has prayed for direction upon the concerned police authorities to arrest respondent nos. 8 to 17 in connection with criminal prosecution initiated against accused persons. It is submitted that husband of the petitioner committed suicide but there is allegation of aiding and abetting husband to commit suicide.

3. Learned Additional Government Pleader representing the State respondents has filed a communication dated 29th June, of Inspector-in-Charge, Chakdah Police Station, Ranaghat Police District and

same is taken on record. Copy of communication dated 29th June, 2026 is made over to learned advocate representing the petitioner.

4. From communication dated 29th June, 2026 it appears that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner criminal prosecution being Chakdah Police Station Case No. 560 of 2026 dated 16th April, 2026 was initiated and investigation is going on.

5. From the complaint of the petitioner dated 15th April, 2025 lodged with the concerned police authority it appears that petitioner was not staying with her husband.

6. At this stage Court is not making any observation regarding cause of death of husband of the petitioner.

7. However, concerned police authority is directed to take the investigation to its logical conclusion at an early date and file report before the jurisdictional Magistrate.

8. Liberty is also granted to the petitioner to approach the jurisdictional Magistrate, if situation so arises.

9. Writ petition stands disposed of.

10. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
