Heard learned counsels for the parties.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that trial has not been concluded in compliance with the direction of this Court on 20th June, 2024. He prays for bail. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer and submits that besides being implicated in the present offence, the petitioner has other criminal antecedents. The bail prayer of the petitioner was turned down on earlier occasions. On merits the petitioner does not deserve any favourable order at this stage.

Accordingly, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage. It is brought to the notice of this Court that trial has not concluded in compliance with the earlier order of this Court.

In view of the above, the learned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible without

granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law.

The application for bail is thus disposed of. Case diary be returned.
