The petitioner seeks to disconnect an electricity connection at Hatiara Methupara, Hatiara, Eco Park, North 24 Parganas, Kolkata - 700157.

The petitioner contends that, based on his complaint, demolition proceedings were initiated in respect of the said premises, and accordingly, a demolition order was passed by the Commissioner of Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation on January 28, 2025. The petitioner further submits that the

Corporation is unable to execute the demolition order due to the subsisting electricity connection. This writ petition appears to be devoid of any merit. It is unclear how there can be any subsisting electricity connection if demolition work is undertaken. Accordingly, there is no justification for keeping this writ petition pending.

In consequence, WPA 12176 of 2025 is hereby disposed of.
