The petitioner being the Pradhan of the Netra Gram Panchayat has filed a representation before the Sub-Divisional Officer, South 24 Parganas, Diamond Harbour Sub-Division on June 6, 2022 praying for removal of a few of the elected members of the Gram Panchayat.
The grievance of the petitioner is that the said representation has not been taken up for consideration till date.
As it appears that the representation praying for removal of the members is pending consideration before the Sub-Divisional Officer, South 24 Parganas, Diamond Harbour Sub-Division, accordingly, the instant writ
petition is disposed of by directing the respondent no. 4 being the Sub-Divisional Officer, South 24 Parganas, Diamond Harbour Sub-Division to take into consideration the representation filed by the petitioner on June 6, 2022 strictly in accordance with law, at the earliest, but positively within a period of two weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order. The aforesaid authority shall pass a reasoned order and communicate the same to the parties immediately thereafter.
The writ petition stands disposed of.
Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today is taken on record.
