The petitioners participated in the 1st State Level Selection Test, 2016 for recruitment of Assistant Teachers for Classes - IX to X in different subjects.

The grievance of the petitioners is that though eligible, they were not called for the personality test and they are also praying direction upon the West Bengal Central School Service Commission, the respondent no. 2 herein to disclose the break-up of marks obtained by the petitioners in the said Selection Test.

The respondent no. 2, pursuant to a direction passed by this Court has filed a report.

In the said report, the respondent no. 2 has disclosed the break-up of marks of nineteen (19) petitioners but could not provide such break-up in respect of eight (8) petitioners as they did not furnish their roll numbers. This Court by the order dated March 27, 2023 directed supply of Roll numbers of the said eight candidates.

Mr. Chatterjee, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the said eight petitioners are not in touch with him, as such he is unable to provide their Roll numbers.

Be that as it may, it appears from the report of the respondent no. 2 that the candidates called for personality test in the respective categories scored higher marks than the petitioners, as such, the petitioners were rightly not called for the personality test.

W.P.A. 11979 of 2022 therefore, is dismissed without any order as to costs.
