The petitioner is aggrieved that in spite of submission of tax and fees and in spite of furnishing relevant documents to show the status of the old vehicle, his prayer for replacement of the old vehicle has not yet been acted upon by the concerned respondent authority.

Mr. Asoke Hazra, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, submits that after purchase of the upgraded new vehicle, the petitioner is incurring heavy loss due to such inaction on the part of the respondent authority.

Mr. Pantu Deb Roy, learned counsel is representing the State respondent. He has not denied receipt of writ petitioner's letter dated April 1, 2024, in which the writ petitioner has sought for appropriate action and adequate relief, before the Secretary Regional Transport Authority, Paschim Burdwan.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this writ petition is being disposed of with the direction upon the concerned respondent/respondent no. 3, to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated April 1, 2024 by dint of a reasoned order.

The respondent may, if so required, afford opportunity of hearing to the writ petitioner and any other persons as it may deem fit and proper.

The respondent no. 3 shall conclude the entire exercise as above within a period of six weeks from the date of service of copy of this order to its office. The order shall be communicated to the petitioner, within one week from its date.

Since no affidavits are called for, allegations made in the writ petition, are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.

This writ petition being WPA 13808 of 2024 is disposed of, along with the connected pending applications, if any.
