The petitioner no. 1 being the son of a deceased Assistant Teacher in a primary School under the Purba Bardhaman District Primary School Council, applied for compassionate appointment though he was recommended for such appointment but due to the illness of the petitioner the said recommendation did not culminate into an appointment.

The petitioner no. 1 in this backdrop is praying that such appointment be given to the grandson of the deceased teacher, the petitioner no. 2 herein.

In terms of relevant rules the petitioner no. 2 is not a family member of the deceased teacher as such is not entitled to be appointed on compassionate ground.

WPA 12614 of 2023 is dismissed without any order as cost.
