This is an application for expeditious disposal of Special Case No.07 of 2019 arising out of Behala Police Station Case No.69 of 2019 under Section 3(1)(r) and (s) of The Schedule Caste and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 presently pending before the learned Additional Session Judge, 1st Court, Alipore. 2.

On perusal of averment made in the instant revision and having heard the learned Advocate for the petitioner this Court of the view that

the instant revision can be disposed of here and now with the assistance of the learned Advocate for the state.

Accordingly, Mr. Mainak Gupta learned Advocate is requested to assist this Court on behalf of the state.

Appointment of Mr. Mainak Gupta learned advocate be regularized by the learned Legal Remembrancer, Government of West Bengal. 5.

It is submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that the case was initiated on the basis of a complaint lodged by the petitioner on 16th March, 2019. After completion of investigation, Charge-sheet was submitted on 14th May, 2019 being no. 59 of 2019. Thereafter supplementary charge-sheet was submitted on 25th June, 2019. Charges were framed on 20th November, 2019 and fixed 4th February, 2020 for evidence. On several occasion the learned court below adjourned the matter and on 22nd March, 2022 the petitioner was partly examined. The next date for further examination was fixed on 04th July, 2022. 6.

Under such circumstances, petitioner has prayed for expeditious disposal of the case.

In view of such circumstances, the instant revision is disposed of directing the trial court to dispose of the above mentioned case as expeditiously as possible.
