We have considered the materials on record, particularly the statement of the minor child of the deceased which is corroborated by medical evidence disclosing asphyxiation due to ante mortem smothering as the cause of death.

In view of the aforesaid facts and the gravity of offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. The prayer for bail is, thus, rejected.
