Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that, the wife of the petitioner lodged a complaint with the police of kidnapping along with demand for ransom. The present police case, according to him, is a counter-blast. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the petitioner was involved in extracting money from at least 14 persons on the promise of granting job. She refers to the case diary and points out the money trail between the victims and the petitioner herein.

Materials in the case diary also suggest that the petitioner promised members of the public from whom he took the money for job on a foreign country.

Considering such materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected. CRM (A) 1714 of 2024 is dismissed.
