The petitioner complains of torture by the private respondents since after they changed their political affiliation.

The police have been silent in the matter, according to the Counsel for the petitioner.

It appears from the records that Kotalpur Police Station, Bankura has registered an FIR and filed two charge-sheet being C.S. No. 158 of 2021 dated 30th June, 2021 and C.S. No. 164 of 2021 dated 30th June, 2021 on the complaint and counter complaint against the petitioner. It further appears from the records that there are NCR cases drawn up against the parties by Kotalpur Police Station.

There is admittedly some tension in the area in between the petitioner and the private respondents. The Inspector-in-charge, Kotalpur Police Station shall maintain a regular vigil at the said locale and ensure that there is absolutely no breach of peace in the said area.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
