Petitioners have restricted their prayer in the writ petition to the extent that a list of pending cases instituted against the petitioners may be provided to them. Petitioners complain already they have been foisted with one criminal case and they have reasons to believe that there are other cases because of political animosity.

Mr. Banerjee, learned advocate appearing for the State disputes such contentions advanced on behalf of the petitioners particularly with regard to the factum of political animosity. Learned advocate for the State also submits that the State is ready and willing to advance a list of cases pending against the

petitioners within a period of 15 days restricted to the district of Paschim Medinipur.

In view of the innocuous prayer advanced by the petitioners, I am of the view that further pendency of the writ petition is unwarranted.

The Superintendent of Police, Paschim Medinipur through his designated officer would supply a list of cases within a fortnight from the date of communication of this order.

Petitioners, as such, would be at liberty to exhaust their remedies in accordance with law. With the aforesaid observations, WPA 12456 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
