The petitioner is the widow of a deceased primary school teacher. The teacher expired on 25th February, 2008.

The petitioner seeks family pension.

Learned advocate representing the State respondents submits that the petitioner is required to apply with all documents before the District Inspector of Schools.

It appears that a representation seeking family pension was submitted before the District Inspector of Schools, Jhargram in April 2024. The District Inspector of Schools is, accordingly, directed to follow up the prayer of the petitioner for receiving family pension in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of ninety days from the date of communication of this order.

Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the representation dated 10th April, 2024 to the District Inspector of Schools, Jhargram at the time of communicating the order of the Court.

The instruction forwarded by the Treasury Officer, Jhargram signed on 30th April, 2024 showing the mode of payment of pension to the teacher be retained with the records.

The Treasury Officer, Jhargram is present virtually. His appearance is recorded.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
