1. Memo of evidence filed on behalf of the State is taken on record.

2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. There was a scuffle between the villagers. Injuries were suffered on both sides, but none was grievous in nature. There were case and counter case.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the State relies on the case diary and opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He relies on the statements of the victim as well as the other witnesses which implicate the present petitioner and another as the prime assailants. Reference is also made to the medical reports, which show that serious cut injuries were inflicted on a vital part of the body like head that required stitches for repair.

4. Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this to be a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected.

6. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with requisite formalities.
