In the matter of : Syed Abdul Hameed ..... petitioner Mr. Sandipan Ganguly Mr. Satadru Lahiri Mr. Safdar Azam ....For the petitioner Mr. Sekhar Basu Mr. Krishnendu Bhattacharya Mr. Rajib Mullick Mr. Rakesh Sarkar .....For the opposite party no. 2 By an order dated August 10, 2021, learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Barasat, 24-Parganas (North) allowed the prayer of the petitioner/de-facto complainant, by giving a direction for transfer of Rs.6,77,03,744.45 to the bank account of the petitioner on certain terms and conditions.

The said order of the learned Magistrate in the Court below was challenged by the opposite party no. 2/accused by filing a revisional application being Criminal Revision No. 134/2021 before the learned Sessions Judge, Barasat, 24-Parganas (North).

It appears that the learned Sessions Judge has fixed the next date for hearing of the said revisional application on September 29, 2021 for service return.

Mr. Sandipan Ganguly, learned senior advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that his client will appear before the learned Sessions Judge on September 29, 2021. There is no need, at this stage, to go into the merit of the case.

I dispose of this application with a direction upon the learned Sessions Judge to decide the Criminal Revision No. 134/2021 on merit within a period of six weeks from date without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties. The revisional application being CRR 1675 of 2021 is, thus, disposed of.
