This is an application for expeditious disposal of NDPS Case no. 90 of 2020 filed by the petitioner/accused person in custody arising out of N.C.B. Crime no. 23 of 2020 under Section 8(c) read with 21 (c) /29 of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1984 presently pending before the Learned Additional Sessions Judge, N.D.P.S. Court at Krishnagar, Nadia.

On perusal of the instant application and the materials on record, this court is of the view that the instant application can be disposed of with the assistance of the learned public prosecutor-in-charge on behalf of the State.

Therefore Mr. Sandip Chakraborty, learned advocate is requested to assist this court on behalf of the state.

Appointment of Mr. Sandip Chakraborty be regularized by the learned Legal Remembrancer, Government of West Bengal. 5.

It is submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that the petitioner was arrested on 19th December, 2020 under Section 8(c) read with 21 (c) /29 of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1984. Since then, he is in custody. On 22nd April, 2022 charge was framed under section 29 of the NDPS Act. Subsequently dates were fixed for recording evidence on 12.07.2022 and 13.07.2022. Almost after two years of arrest chargesheet was framed.

In view of the above factual position the instant revision is premature to pass any direction.

For the reasons stated above, I do not find merits in the instant revision and accordingly the revision is dismissed on contest, however, without cost.
