Mr. Chatterjee, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was not communicated with the said order. He, however, presumed that his prayer was rejected by the University and, therefore, he made a representation before the Vice-chancellor on March 29, 2017, by submitting a fresh application, which is appearing at page 58 of the writ petition for promotion as a Professor under the career advancement scheme. The petitioner had retired from the post on March 31, 2013.

direct the Vice-chancellor of the said University to consider the said representation made by the petitioner dated March 29, 2017, within a period of two months from date in accordance with law. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merit of the representation dated March 29, 2017.
