Affidavit-of-service filed in court today be kept on record.

The petitioner's grievance is that the petitioner was given an electricity connection over a temporary bamboo structure which is precarious and may cause electricity and fire hazards.

Accordingly, the petitioner sought a permanent PCC pole to be erected for giving such connection. 4.

The same having not been acceded to by the respondent-Distribution Licensee, the present writ petition has been filed.

Learned counsel appearing for the WBSEDCL, on instruction, submits that the said Distribution Licensee is agreeable to erect a permanent PCC pole instead of the temporary bamboo structure for giving the electricity connection to the petitioner.

However, in view of the ongoing 'Boro' cultivation season, the connection can be given within a month from date.

In view of such fair stand having been taken by the WBSEDCL, WPA 13699 of 2024 is disposed of by directing the WBSEDCL to install a permanent structure/PCC pole for giving electricity connection to the petitioner instead of the existing temporary bamboo pole within June 16, 2024.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
