1. By order dated 1st July 2025 this Court while expressing dissatisfaction at the previous report filed by the respondent no. 9, had directed the respondent no.9 to file a fresh report explaining his conduct. Pursuant thereto, a fresh report has been filed. The respondent no. 9 has tendered an unconditional apology for not complying with the earlier order. Having regard thereto and noting the explanation provided, this Court accepts the apology. It is expected that the respondent no.9 who happens to hold a high position in the maintenance of law and order and public safety will not repeat the same mistake in future.

2. Since, it is submitted by the parties that the election which was rescheduled on 4th July 2025 has already been conducted in a free and fair manner, although the explanation for the abrupt failure

WPA 12490 of 2025 for making security arrangements for holding the election of the cooperative previously scheduled on 27th May, 2025 does not appear to be cogent, I am of the view that having regard to the subsequent development, no useful purpose will be served by keeping this writ petition pending, accordingly the same is disposed of.
