The learned advocate appearing on behalf of the Eastern Railway has produced before us a reasoned and speaking order dated March 19, 2020 passed by the Principal Chief Personnel Officer, Eastern Railway. The said order was passed in purported compliance of the order dated December 3, 2019 passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal in Original Application No. 350/1081/2019.

However, it appears that the said order has not been communicated to the writ petitioners. A copy of the said order dated March 19, 2020 is handed over in court to the learned advocate representing the writ petitioners.

The learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits that his clients were not aware of the said order inasmuch as the said order is patently illegal in view of the orders passed by this court in several matters concerning land losers. However, the remedy lies to the writ petitioners to challenge the said order of the Principal Chief Personnel Officer in accordance with law before the appropriate forum, if so advised.

For the purpose of limitation to challenge the said order dated March 19, 2020, as above, the date of the order is to be reckoned as of today.

The writ petition is, thus, disposed of without, however, any order as to costs.

Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, will be made available to the applicant within a week from the date of putting in the requisites.
