The petitioner is the widow daughter of a deceased primary school teacher. She claims family pension. Learned advocate representing the State respondents has obtained instruction from the District Inspector of Schools, Primary Education, Purba Medinipur wherefrom it appears that certain documents are required to be submitted by the petitioner to proceed with the sanction of her family pension case. It appears that the details of the documents, which are wanting, are yet to be intimated to the petitioner. A copy of the documents which are required to be filed by the petitioner has been handed over to the learned advocate representing the petitioner in Court today.

The petitioner is directed to act in accordance with the observations made in the communicating memo No. 261-P dated 19th July, 2024 issued by the District Inspector of Schools (P.E.), Purba Medinipur. The District Inspector of Schools is directed to take steps in the matter at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of submission of all documents by the petitioner. If the petitioner is found entitled to the pension as sought for, then the same shall positively be released in her favour latest within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of submission of all documents.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
