The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher of the subject Mathematics at Keshabpur Junior High School, Baruipur, District- 24 Parganas (South).

He applied for general transfer through the 'Utsashree Portal' on the ground that the distance between his residence and the school is more than 100 Kms but his such prayer has been rejected by the concerned authority.

The requirement of maintaining the quality of the learning process of the students of the school outweighs the personal inconvenience pleaded by the petitioner in attending the school, this Court therefore, is not inclined to interfere with the decision of the concerned authority.

W.P.A. 12112 of 2022 is dismissed without any order as to costs.
